1971 hand made West German wall plaque of The Pied Piper of Hamelin. He plays the flute and is accompanied by a small boy and several rats.
On the back: "Mertens Kunst N 1035 Rattennfanger, Catcher of Hamelin, La Flute Enchantee" Made in Western Germany 197 by Alfred Mertens Pfullingen." Signed by the artist Ute (1937-96), daughter of the company founder.
9" tall x 5" wide
CONDITION: Very good vintage condition - some light scratching. The tips of the pipers fingers are broken but could be painted onto the lower layer of wood.
