Very cute dolman/sleeveless striped top! I love the vertical stripes and bold buttons on this.
Brand is Gay Togs, made in Canada. Tag is hard to read, but I think it is a size 6, and my guess is that this is from the 1980s.
I think on a 6yo it would be a short top but not quite a crop top. My 4yo has also worn it as a tunic. The fit is loose/flexible with regards to size. The buttons at the shoulder are functional so they easily open to allow an older child to get the top on!
Play condition for some stitching flaws throughout the hems (pictured examples) but all in all, it is in good shape. The structural seams are all excellent! And the hems would be an easy repair, if you wanted to repair them.
