Vintage Polly Flinders Hand Smocked Yellow Dress 18 Months. Based on the label, and the hand sewing, a master seamstress informed me that this was a dress from what she believed was their 50s line. Polly Flinders were made in the 50s, 60s, and 70s. All the sewing is done to period, hand smocked, and used with a serger machine. It consists of a Peter Pan Collar and a some lace trim around the arms. The only flaw is some very faint discoloration in the collar. Please refer to the pictures. The dress is a delicate cotton, pale yellow, with a white collar. The polly flinders are dressed with a pale pink and green smocking accompanied by tiny yellow flowers with green stems. The detail is beautiful in this dress. It is in very good vintage condition for its age. All stitching is in tact and original. What a great Easter dress this would make! My mother used to dress me in Polly Flinders as a child and this dress brings back some lovely memories:)
