Description: THE MEXICAN STORY by May McNeer & Lynd Ward was published by Ariel in 1953. This copy is the scratch and dent version, which makes this collectible book a whole lot less expensive for people who just want to share it with their children or for those who just want the pictures.
I let the pictures do the talking as well as tell. The covers are scratched and worn to the boards in some places and corners and edges are dented and worn to the boards in most places. There is red library tape that covers most of the spine. The top of the spine is exposed.
The TOC has underlining under some chapters. The first chapter title is also underlined. Page 40 has finger-paint(?) streaked down it a bit, some of which makes it difficult to read about 5 words. The top of pages 46 and 47 were stuck together and a bit of the top margin was sheared off of each page. This does not at all affect the reading or the pictures. Page 74 has small, closed tears in three places around the margin, the top tear is the longest. There are other minor soil spots.
The binding is tighter in some places than others, but overall tight despite its imperfections.
I took 24 pictures of the condition and the awesome artistry but this site only allows 12. I chose to focus on the worst of the condition so that the buyer will not be unpleasantly surprised.
