This book has stories of unusual heroes in WWI. Like all Western Publishing / Whitman books of this era, it is more fragile than a typical hardcover. But this one has held up well. It has corner wear and the plastic coating is coming off in places. One bottom edge is worn to the board. The binding could use reinforcement at the bottom. The pages are tanning from the edges into the margin. But it's clean. No marks or highlighting or soil. Some page edges and corners are folded
