See Kai Run size 5 infant Mary Jane shoes. Magenta pink leather upper. Gray kitty cat head with embroidered white whiskers at toes. Rubber sole. Scuffing on toes and straps and definite signs of wear. Wear and tear does not affect structure or support of shoe on foot. But minimal wear to soles. Hook and loop Velcro strap closure.
If your kids are going to scuff up their shoes anyway, there is something to be said for buying them pre-scuffed (and at a lower price point)! 🙂
