Great for a Halloween costume!
See photos for measurements of hat interior. Adjustable chin strap on hat. Metal clasp on string tie can be adjusted up and down by gently pulling on the strings.
The cowboy hat is made of a stiff felt.
Holster & toy pistols (toy guns) are made of plastic. The click mechanism on one of the guns doesn't seem to work any more. The guns are not strong toys but are probably slightly better quality than what you will find on Amazon nowadays. The belt on the holster is strong plastic and measures approximately 32 inches without clasp.
Please note that each of the pistols has an image of an American Indian wearing a headdress molded into the handle. Unfortunately, even modern day toy cowboy pistols seem to still include similar images. Because such images can be harmful and perpetuate racist stereotypes, you may want to consider covering the images with masking tape before using and/or having a thoughtful discussion with your child about what the images say about our history.
