This is a beautiful swingy dress with adjustable straps and two pockets. The straps are genius - you adjust by untying the knot and retying it at the length that works for your little girl's size. It could be worn as a tunic once it's too small to wear as a dress. The buttons are functional, and when my little girl got a little bigger, we left the top button unbuttoned. Matilda Jane clothes really do grow with children.
