Description

This Sassy Apple Top is an original creation involving many hours of collecting, arranging, and sewing. This top started with a size 5T, polka dot and apple print, reclaimed, long sleeve, snap up top. A variety of salvaged fabric scraps, in fun prints, most vintage, were arranged in a staggered pattern and applied with decorative stitching to the bottom and back of the top. Lace remnants were applied in multiple places, including the sides, giving the bottom a cute flutter detail. To finish the top, hand stitching was added to the seams to create further detail.

The Story:
Each Rethreaded Original is individually designed and crafted using recycled or reclaimed clothing with vintage and sometimes new textiles. Each re-imagined garment is completely unique. Character is achieved through Fraying, raw edges, and imperfections. These are intentional elements of the overall design. These transformed pieces follow the concept and philosophy of garments seen by companies like Urban Outfitters, Free People, and Anthropology, but in a pint size version and occasionally in mom sizes too. This form of conscious, sustainable fashion is a way of up-cycling, recycling and striving for zero-waste. These garments are 100% creative, made uniquely with love.
