Hi pdxgirl ! We are unsure if this is 100%wool - it was handknit and given to us years ago so there aren't tags - we were just told it was made with wool yarn. We always wore it with a Longsleeve shirt but we never had issues with scratchiness (and my daughter has very fair sensitive skin). I wouldn't wear it without a long sleeve shirt underneath, though. It seemed the more we washed it the softer it got, which I loved. Hope this answers your questions!

Handmade Charcoal Knit Wool Sweater. Beautifully made, thick wool pullover sweater with buttons at shoulder. Gorgeous detailing. No tag label, but fit us like a 2T - PLEASE see photos for measurements as a reference. In VGUC, only hand washed and hung to dry.
Smoke free, cat friendly home.
