Although I am not of Native American descent, dream catchers have a long history within this beautiful culture wherein grandmothers and mothers alike made these webbed, feathered and beaded designs to “capture” and “entangle” the nightmares of their children during the night. Then, during the morning, the dream catcher would release the bad dream into the light, where it can no longer thrive or live.
Many dreams can seem very real— even the bad ones. My daughter has very vivid and lucid dreams (as did I and still do) — and I purchased one for her to help with the nightmares, and was then inspired to make them to help other kids. 🛌😴
